Bio

I’m Eve, the founder of Two Rivers Counseling. I’m a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) in Minnesota and Wisconsin and a clinical supervisor. I’ve worked in mental health since 2014, and I started Two Rivers with a simple goal: to make it easier for people in our community to find meaningful support.

The relationship you have with your therapist matters. That’s why we’ve brought together more than 40 clinicians with different areas of expertise, approaches, and personalities. Our team has decades of combined experience, and we take time to help you connect with someone who fits what you need. You can come to us knowing something needs to change without already knowing what kind of therapy—or which therapist—to ask for.

My own clinical interests have centered on relationships, betrayal recovery, trauma, and the experiences of first responders and their families. I have previously volunteered as a mental health professional with the Arrowhead Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Team and completed specialized training in supporting first responders. I’m also an Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) Master Clinician and a certified PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator.

Those experiences continue to shape how I lead Two Rivers. I care about building a practice where people are treated with warmth and respect, clinicians are supported in their work, and finding help feels a little less overwhelming.

If you’re ready to reach out, our team can help you take the next step and find a clinician who feels like the right fit.

If you have a question, concern, or feedback about your experience at Two Rivers, please email me directly at eve@trcduluth.com. I want to hear from you.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy Master Clinician

ART is a technique rooted in existing evidence-based therapies that provides rapid relief from distressful trauma symptoms, anxiety, and other issues. ART is used to treat betrayal trauma, PTSD, and many other forms of trauma.   Clients suffering from other mental health challenges can experience remarkable benefits.  Some of these challenges include:  Addiction, Anxiety, Depression, OCD, Grief & Loss, Family Issues, and Phobias.

ART works by temporarily reactivating the traumatic memory using relaxing eye movements. When the memory is accessed it can be permanently changed using ART's protocols and techniques.  While the client knows that the changes are not the actual memory, it provides a new start for the client.  The clients Trigger Origin is changed or removed which provides rapid emotional relief.  ART's motto is to keep the knowledge and lose the pain.  Once the session is complete, you will still have the facts of the memory, but you will lose the painful images, emotions, and sensations that were once a part of the memory.

Healing often looks like starting over a thousand times. Each time we discover a truth, shed an old belief, implement a new skill, or resist an old pattern, we reach a new level. Growth is a collection of all the times we tried and tried again.
