Anna Tennis, MSW, LGSW

Bio

Hello and welcome! I’m Anna Tennis, a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) in the state of Minnesota. I’m so glad you’re here - it takes an enormous amount of courage and no small amount of tenacity to undertake the search for a therapeutic partnership. If you’re here, it means you’ve already begun the work.

I work with adults from all walks and stages of life, whose therapeutic goals have been as diverse as they have been compelling and beautiful. I’m a compassionate and passionate supporter of each person’s search for sovereignty, identity, healing, peace, and joy. I’m here to walk with you, and create a safe, supportive, and productive space for you to do this work.

I’m relevantly credentialed, with two Master’s degrees under my belt, as well as a lot of training in integrative health and nutrition. I’ve spent the last two years working at a ketamine clinic with clients healing from treatment-resistant mental illness, which has helped me deepen my integrative psychodynamic approach. I rely upon a combination of treatment approaches: I’m client-led, holding developmental patterns, attachment history, and the “why” behind your pain and symptoms as I pull supportive elements from my training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Relational Cultural Therapy, and Jungian Symbolism.

My goal is to accompany and know you as you undertake this work, to see and validate you as you are and who you are while you heal and grow, and to always center what is most important to your progress.
