As humans, we exist within the contexts of our environments. I became a clinical social worker after working for many years in public policy, including state government, and realized I wanted to be more directly engaged with people and communities. My practice as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker reflects these experiences by focusing on systems and strengths.
In my practice, I work with individual adults aged 18 and up who have experienced a range of concerns and who may or may not have a formal diagnosis. I have knowledge and skill in working with people experiencing anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, trauma, psychosis, stress management, grief and loss, and addiction, among others.
My practice is guided by the principle that “everyone has everything they need in them to heal” (Frank Anderson, MD). We will work together to facilitate your healing, at your pace and comfort level. My practice utilizes tools from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), brainspotting and gazespotting, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal, and guided meditation, among other modalities.
