Hi there, I’m Kaeden Beach (she/her), a Master of Social Work student and clinical intern here at Two Rivers. I have a passion for creating a supportive, welcoming space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. I am particularly interested in working with young adults, while also enjoying the opportunity to work with people across different stages of life. I am interested in a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and life transitions.
My approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I believe that clients are the experts in their own lives, and I see my role as walking alongside them to better understand their experiences, build on their strengths, and develop skills that support their wellbeing. I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while recognizing that therapy should be individualized to each person’s needs, experiences, and goals. I strive to practice with cultural humility and remain open to learning from each client and the experiences they bring into the counseling space.
Before beginning my clinical internship, I gained experience working with children and families at a Child Advocacy Center, where I developed a deeper understanding of trauma, resilience, and the importance of creating safe and supportive environments for individuals navigating difficult experiences. This experience strengthened my commitment to trauma-informed and compassionate practice.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, exploring local businesses and coffee shops, reading, and painting. I value the little things that make life feel meaningful and hope to bring that same sense of curiosity, warmth, and authenticity into my work with clients.
